Personal Project

The inspiration for this work came from my observations of my cat.

He often locks himself in bedroom when I'm not looking. Or when he wants to go use the cat litter, he needs to open the bedroom door. But if I just close the door and don't let him in or out of the room, he will keep barking outside the door.

I decided to make a handle for him as well.

Sketch

Function 1

Curved design, not easy to hurt pets. There is no need to distinguish between directions during installation. Install the handle on double side or just one side, it's depend on you.It is an additional product and will not damage the door panel itself. It is low cost.

Highly adjustable and can be removed. The initial idea was to be able to slide it in both directions and take it out. However, fearing that the door handle would easily fall off, the actual design was later enhanced with a non-slip strip. And in the outcome a stop was added underneath the track.

Function 2

This curved handle can also be removed and placed between the door and the floor to keep the cat out of the room.

With non-slip stripes, increase the friction force.

Can make the handle will not easily fall from the track.

Can make the door not be opened easily.
